NPCs have no perspective, and neither do PCs. In the end only the player has a perspective.

Ok but.. NPCs don't have a perspective because they're not self-aware. And while we're at it, you're not making a great case for yourself either.

Doesn't matter whether or not they are aware, everything ever is seen from a first person pov. Say a cow for example, it doesn't know that there's vegans and non-vegans, that the world is way bigger than the farm it's on and that there's billions of other cows, it sees life from it's perspective, literally, as do you and everyone else ever.
