Right. You have to factor in time, convenience, urgency regarding how badly you need the money. I know if I sell something on eBay I can get more money than if I sold it to a pawn shop, but I'll have to wait for a buyer, ship it, hope they don't dispute the sale, meanwhile my money's in limbo. If I need money today so my electricity doesn't get cut off I'll take less because I need it right now.
