-37 Cheating doesn't just ‘happen', amirite?

by Alarming_Whereas 1 week ago

I mean, cheaters obviously invent excuses but you can be sure that they would cry a lot if they were the ones being cheated on, they wouldn't try to justify.

I don't think so, they're guiltless sociopaths.

Polygamy was common up until 100 years ago and still common in some cultures today.

How is this unpopular?

Once a cheater, always a cheater.

What you're saying is unequivocally true.

That's because people avoid accountability at almost all costs these days.

This sound like an opinion from someone who has never been in the real world. Cheating does "just happen" all the time.

Found the cheater!

🎃 For the cheater

by TellKey7651 1 week ago

How, exactly? Cheating requires the cheater to go out of their way to cheat - you don't just trip over and land on someone else's genitals; it's an intentional thing.

If you're ever in a situation where you allow cheating to "just happen" you are just a coward who doesn't know how to say "no". You always have a choice. No one forced you.

Cheating does "just happen" all the time. Did you read beyond the header? Obviously it happens. You've misquoted a bit though; OP said it doesn't just "happen"(whereas you said "just happen"). They elaborated that it's obv not some unforeseen natural phenomena.

by TellKey7651 1 week ago

how does it just happen, whats the sequence of events?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Cheating is normal behavior repressed by societal norms. Monogamous relationships are a social construct.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yeah but it's still a choice. You don't accidentally cheat

by Anonymous 1 week ago

What if you did it while blacked out

by Both_Welcome 1 week ago

It's Still your responsibility to get or not to get in situations like this...

by Anonymous 1 week ago

They're a social construct for a reason. There's often negative consequences to cheating. Poly relationships are ALSO a social construct and you can still cheat in those relationships too. What's your point?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

So are polyamorous relationships. All relationships are social constructs. Neither is more natural than the other.
