We (society) should be focused on eliminating violence against everyone not just women, amirite?

We should be focused on why men make up 50% of the worlds population but perpetuate 90% of the world's murders. This "everyone" approach you're championing ignores that crucial component that would help men and women victims alike. But instead by suggesting "we're all just people -- victims and murderers", you're ignoring the real problem gender roles and expectations play in reproducing certain types of violence or certain proclivities to violence.

Type of guy to unfurl an "all lives matter" banner at a civil rights protest. The fact of the matter is that focused social movements are successful. People who espouse blind egalitarianism were the type of guys who wrote the line "all men are created equal" into the US declaration of independence.

Depends on the type of violent Sexual violent is mostly done towards women. All other type of violent is mostly done towards men.

Negative. We should be encouraging it. 8 billion is 7 billion too many and the source of a great many of the problems we face as a species. we really don't need to be saving lives. We should be encouraging problems to be solved with conflict. It has the added benefit of culling the sickly and the weak from the gene pool and bettering the stock as a result.
