Programming jobs, small businesses, Youtube, Etsy, and Ebay didn't exist in 2015? Poverty, racism, immigration, war, the national debt, and the financial crisis didn't exist in 2015? America hadn't been pulling out of Afghanistan since 2008? Sports and fashion are different now? Huh? Do they have to backflip into the hoop or something?

We are still in a Cold War with Russia, so just their economic policy changed. Domestic espionage happened in the 50s as well, aka the red scare. Lots of places were desegregated in the 50s just not the U.S. If you want to pick and choose you can say humans have evolved however much you want to say they did.
